Mariana allows you to truly customize your jewelry to design the perfect piece unique to your style. Each piece is available in your choice of plated metal finishes: silver, gold, and rose gold. Sometimes it can be hard to determine how these finishes differ from one another. In some cases, the difference can be quite dramatic.
We have our popular Mariana Crystal AB Swarovski bracelet available in a silver, gold, and rose gold finish to illustrate how the same bracelet can look different in these three metal settings.
Let us start with the silver plate, which is by far the most popular metal choice among customers. It has a classic, crisp look with a more contemporary feel. The silver setting provides a neutral backdrop for the Swarovski crystals, letting the colors shine in a clear light.
In the Mariana gold plate setting, the entire tone is warmer, and the Swarovski crystals take on a golden glow that allows them to "pop". Colors are a bit more intensified as the gold setting draws out their hues more. All this lends for a richer, more vibrant piece that looks more traditional, with a vintage appear.
Mariana's rose gold also lends a warm glow that compliments a wide range of skin tones. I think of it as the perfect tan, with just the right amount of color in the plating that is both softening and warm. Swarovski crystals tend to be more vibrant in the rose gold setting, although they do not "pop" as much as in the gold. Colors are intensified, but softened. Rose gold is the middle of the range plating, and my personal favorite.
